Prologue of the Saga
Saga of the Power of the Northern Gods
In those times, when the runes were alive in the breath of the winds and the whisper of fire,
When magic flowed through the veins of the earth,
Lived the Northern Gods β great powers,
With whom speaks the one who seeks knowledge, protection, and destiny.
To step onto the path of Rune Magic,
one must know their names...
And remember: Knowledge is the beginning. Reverence is the key.
Lords of Wisdom and Fate
- Odin β All-Father. Lord of light and darkness, life and death. Wise Wanderer, who gave his eye for the Truth.
- Frigg β his spouse. Goddess of Fate. She knows the past, present, and what is to come. She is silentβ¦ but knows everything.
- Tyr β God of Honor and Justice. He who did not hesitate to sacrifice himself for the world.
- Hel β Ruler of the Dead. Guardian of the borders between worlds. In her realm β silence and oblivion.
Protectors of the Worlds
- Thor β Thunderer. Protector of Midgard. His hammer Mjolnir β a strike of fate, cleansing and protecting.
- Heimdall β Guardian of Bifrost. He hears the grass grow and will be the first to raise his horn on the day of Ragnarok.
- Freyr β Lord of Plenty. His gifts β fertility, wealth, and prosperity. He keeps the world in balance.
Powers of Love, Magic, and Chaos
- Freyja β Goddess of Love, War, and Magic. She leads the fallen and possesses seidr β the art of charms and fate.
- Loki β Trickster and Shapeshifter. His form β deceptive, but in chaos, he brings changes without which there is no growth.
- Njord β Lord of the seas and Patron of Abundance. Where he is β there are fish in the nets and gold in the chests.
Covenant of the Rune Master
To know β is to see.
But the true path of Rune Magic β is respect, reverence, and union with the Gods.
Not every work requires their invocation,
but if you call β call with honor.
If you ask β give thanks.
Power responds to the call of only those who are worthy.
And remember:
Runes β are not just symbols.
This is the voice of the ancient world.
The voice of the Gods themselves.
